The MahaNakhon Tower is one of the most remarkable modern skyscrapers in Bangkok. Completed in 2016, the tower stands about 314 metres tall and was designed by German architect Ole Scheeren.
The building is famous for its unique pixelated spiral design, which appears as if parts of the façade have been carved out of the tower. This architectural concept creates terraces, balconies and dramatic visual depth, making the skyscraper one of the most recognisable buildings in Thailand.
Today the tower includes luxury residences, the King Power Mahanakhon skywalk observation deck, restaurants and retail spaces. The glass skywalk at the top offers panoramic views of Bangkok and has become one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions.
The tower demonstrates how modern engineering and innovative architectural design can transform the skyline of rapidly growing cities.
