Rose Rayhaan by Rotana located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai was once officially recognised as the tallest hotel in the world.
Completed in 2007, the tower rises to approximately 333 metres with 72 floors and quickly became one of the most recognisable skyscrapers in Dubai’s rapidly evolving skyline. The project was designed by Khatib & Alami and remains a fascinating example of modern high-rise engineering and luxury hospitality architecture.
During the early 2000s, Dubai entered one of the most ambitious construction booms in modern history. Projects such as Rose Rayhaan by Rotana helped transform the city into a global symbol of futuristic architecture, luxury development, and large-scale engineering innovation.
What makes this tower especially interesting is its elegant slender design combined with reflective blue glass façades, giving the building a timeless appearance even years after completion. At the time, achieving this height for a hotel structure represented a major engineering accomplishment and reflected Dubai’s ambition to continuously push architectural boundaries.
Today, the tower remains one of the most photographed skyscrapers on Sheikh Zayed Road and an important part of Dubai’s architectural identity.
